International Cannabis Conference: the future of the cannabis market discussed in Berlin
The International Cannabis Conference (ICBC B2B) was held in Berlin on 19 and 20 July. The conference, one of the most important in this sector in Europe, was attended by over 1,400 participants, including representatives of Pangolin Solutions.
The word 'recreational' was the word most heard during the days of the event, both from the public and from the conference speakers. The insistence on the word 'recreational' is understandable, given that the Berlin government intends to present a legal framework during this legislature to regulate the recreational use of cannabis, giving rise to a vast new market. This fact has made many governments and companies in the sector expectant about the decisions that will be taken by the German executive.
The Portuguese case was also mentioned several times, as it is a reference, both for the decriminalisation of consumption and for the clear process of licensing the different activities linked to the sector.
As this conference was fundamentally aimed at professional networking, a large number of companies took part, hoping to show off their products and services. The exhibitors, more than 200, covered practically all areas of activity, from consulting to pharmaceuticals, including software and the latest generation of cultivation materials.
