Pangolin Solutions at PTMC Barcelona 2023
The Barcelona edition of the International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) took place on 9 March 2023. This event, aimed at professionals, was attended by leaders in the industry from more than 40 countries. The conferences were hosted at the historic L'Auditori de Cornellà, where executives, entrepreneurs and investors from all over the planet gathered.
Pangolin Solutions was invited to present the Portuguese market's point of view, in the session which analysed the different regulations on medical cannabis in Europe. In addition to Carlos Nunes (co-founder of Pangolin Solutions), Santiago Ongay (The Sabia, USA), Alex Revich (Loosh Brands, Canada) and Daniel Haymann (MLL Legal, Switzerland) were present at this debate session. The session was moderated by Guillermo Navarro (S&F Abogados, Spain).
The speakers discussed the safe access to cannabis for medicinal use, which is increasingly common in Europe, as well as the policies regarding the topic, which are still quite complex and evolving in many European countries. The panel of experts discussed the various components related to the policies that have led to the legalisation of cannabis for medicinal use in several European countries. The potential impacts on this market of reforms related to the legalisation of recreational cannabis in Europe were also discussed.
